Time for another trip to Jefferson Heights! This time around we take a look at Karma, the team’s personal good luck charm created for the Mutants & Masterminds role playing game. Her abilities make her a welcome addition on any mission. Enjoy!
Karma
Name: Jennifer Noble
Identity: Secret
Occupation: Student; Senior at Thomas Jefferson High School
Age: 17
Height: 5’9″
Weight: 116 lbs.
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Base of Operations: Jefferson Heights, NY
Group Affiliation: Jefferson Knights
Known Abilities:
Jennifer is able to manipulate the forces of luck around her; usually giving her and her allies good luck while causing her enemies to very unlucky. In addition, she never seems to suffer from car trouble, a bad hair day, or any of the little problems life sometimes throws at everyone else – Jennifer is a walking good luck charm!
Background:
Jennifer has always been lucky; even when life was hard around her, she always seemed to be able to avoid the worst of it. As a young girl she excelled at gymnastics, taking chances others would never dream of, but walked away after others pushed her towards Olympic training. She said it stopped being fun.
In high school she met Chase and the two became the “It” couple in no time. It didn’t take long before each of them revealed their gifts to each other. They decided it would be fun to go patrolling one night. That night the Jefferson Knights were born!
Jennifer has recruited most of the members of the Knights since then and is sometimes forced to act like a mom to the team. She’s genuinely nurturing and cares for the team though has no interest in any real leadership role. She happy enough being the team’s cheerleader.
Personality:
Anyone who spends any time with Jennifer knows she loves the color pink; it’s on her walls, her clothes – her car? Hot pink! Jennifer shares her boyfriend Chase’s love of old movies, particularly John Hughes films; her favorite being “Pretty in Pink.” She’s earned the nickname “Pip” for her love of the film.
She doesn’t hide her identity, but as luck would have it, it hasn’t become an issue yet. She’s always positive and supportive of her friends and teammates and no matter how strange or stressful life can get, she always seems to have the right words to comfort others.
