Yet another Ooze to keep Genesys fantasy characters on their toes when underground – and to provide some treasure, if it’s defeated. Veteran dungeoneers do have a few warnings about the monster, however. First, like other Oozes, its highly acidic physiology will damage your flesh and metal gear. It has been described as moving and attacking like a snake or serpent – and also climbs! Finally, when it isn’t moving, it’s quite hard to distinguish from a puddle or or a wet, glistening rock. The Gray Ooze is said to be stone liquified by the forces of Chaos. The Xenobiologist will only agree that they are very similar in composition to rocks found in the same area, since there aren’t any lab tests for Chaos.
