Backgound: Sorgan is a temperate, agrarian world, best known for farming freshwater krill in ponds. Among other culinary uses, Sorgan krill are the key ingredient in spotchka, a bright blue alcoholic beverage that is popular throughout the Outer Rim. The population, estimated to be under 10,000 is primarily human, with 10% or less non-humans, mostly Rodians and Klatoonians. Neither the Empire nor the New Republic saw fit to install a Governor for (or offer Senate representation to) the insignificant world, so there is no government beyond whatever arrangements the locals make for their respective villages or encampments. There isn’t even a real spaceport; ships simply land in nearby open areas.
Besides krill farming (and other agriculture) the only other “industries” on Sorgan are small-scale raiding – both on-planet and in nearby systems – and possibly some arms-dealing.
Sorgan orbits a single sun and has at least two moons. Year and day length are close to average.
Design & Play Notes: I was charmed by this world from The Mandalorian Season 1 episodes “Sanctuary” and “The Reckoning.” Like other worlds featured in the popular TV series, Sorgan begs to be used in a game from any of the movie/TV timeframes and between them. Like Din Djarin and Grogu, an EotE or Alliance/Resistance party could (try to) lay low on Sorgan. New Republic PCs, including marshals and starfighter pilots, tasked with tracking down looted/”surplussed” Imperial weapons and materièl, might find their trail leads to Sorgan. A frontier campaign (EotE’s Far Horizons sourcebook) might be set on this pastoral world.
I had hoped to be able to give a more specific location or hyperspace lane/route, but no such luck. There are a few Star Wars Galaxy maps that purport to be updated with The Mandalorian worlds, but the ones I found, had print too small or fuzzy to read.
Although intended for the FFG SWRPG, it can be used for any other version as well.
