Gamer Nation in Review- April 2015

Greetings Gamer Nation!

The new and improved Gamer Nation blog has been going strong for a month now. And what a month it’s been! Our first Theme week has just wrapped up and it’s been a blast looking all the different ways you can play superheroes in games. But what else have we talked about this month?

Articles over more than a dozen different game systems.
A total of 27 articles.
We’ve read articles from 13 different contributing writers.
GM Chris introduced his G2P Segment.
Over 1800 unique visitors have dropped by.
Our most popular article was Jaspor’s Blaster Pistol Comparison.

What’s coming in May? First, I’d like to introduce you all to our first group of Staff Writers to formally join the team. Each of these fine writers have already contributed some wonderful articles. They’ll be bringing more in the coming months, including some new regular segments.

Ben Erickson

A long time gamer and even longer time ‘designer,’ Ben has been doing system tinkering and creation since grade school. He was introduced to the world of gaming through the boxed introductory set of West End Games Star Wars Roleplaying Game.

Apart from game writing, he enjoys dabbling in other forms of writing, from short stories and poetry to (more recently) song lyrics. You can also find him trying to keep up on the latest books, movies, and television shows (a task that grows more and more daunting each year).

Kevin Frane

Kevin Frane is a freelance Japanese translator, editor, and science-fiction author living in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a big fan of tabletop roleplaying, Star Wars, board games, wine, and good food.

Kyle Rivest

A life long gamer, and geek, Kyle writes about comics, boardgames, RPGs, and is the co-host of d20 Radio’s Mutants & Masterminds podcast, Punching For Justice.

Additionally, Lin Whitson will be joining us as our first Copy Editor.

We have a lot of great articles coming your way in May and we look forward to sharing them with you! But before we do, we want to hear from you!
